A visionary and advocacy group for good Governance and Social justice in Egbema kingdom in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, known as Egbema Massive Movement _E.M.M.
Has called on Rivers State Governor, Chief ( Barrister) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike (C.O.N)  for the completion of the Abandoned OMOKU_EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT  flagged of since December 20th, 2017.

Speaking to newsmen, leader of the group, Comrade I.E.Kelly Rufus commended His Excellency for his Track records of projects delivery and commissioning across the state, while calling on him to attend to the plights of the ONELGA people in the state by Completing the Abandoned Omoku_Egbema dual carriage way project spaninig (21.7km).

Comrade Kelly Rufus described the current state of the OMOKU_EGBEMA dual carriage way project as unexpected, considering the unflinching and continual support the people of ONELGA has showered on the Governor Wike PDP_led  Government Since 2015 till date.

Rufus however expressed dissatisfaction with the recently released list's of completed projects to be commissioned by His Excellency, Governor Wike to mark the 100_Days in office celebration of His Second term. Rufus wondered why none single projects in Onelga made the list.
Not even the over hyped construction of the Omoku_Egbema dual carriage way project flagged off since December, 2017

He therefore called on the workaholic Governor of Rivers State Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to call on ( DARYCET INTERNATIONAL LIMITED) Contractor in_charge of the Abandoned OMOKU_EGBEMA dual carriage way project to site for completion, stating that the Abandoned road remains a Death trap to road users.

Kelly RUFUS slammed the leaderships of the Renowned youth Bodies in Egbema kingdom  The "EGBEMA YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS (E.Y.A)" MGBEDE COMMUNITY YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS;  OKWUZI COMMUNITY YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS;  AGGAH COMMUNITY YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS; EBOCHA_ OHUU YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS and the Egbema Community Development Committees ( CDC's ).

regretting why a kingdom As Oil_riched as Egbema will be subjugated to this humiliating fate.

Furthering, He Blamed the Egbema Traditional Ruler's and chiefs, the Opinion and Political leader's of Egbema for her Unconcerned Attitudes Shown in a recent; regretting why despite the Unending meetings upon meetings usually between the Egbema Representatives and the Nigeria Agip Oil Company Limited (N.A.O.C) nothing Positive had been said to be achieved as to regain our steady power supply.

He wondered why the Egbema power source have not been disconnected long ago from the Faulty Gas_Turbine and Reconnected to it's Original source as was the case and agreed between Agip and Egbema communities during the 2012 flooding which ravaged Egbema ?

Why the 2012 flooding was not perculiar to Egbema alone, Obirikom community was also linked to the Same Gas turbine same period but today Obirikom power source have been disconnected from the Gas turbine back to the main Agip power source while we in Egbema keep attending meetings upon meetings to no avail.

Who did this to us?
How did we get here ?

Oh !!! Egbema my father land what is happening to us ?

Exactly 10_years we lost our First King: HRM, EZE SUNNY N.A UZOR NZE OBI I. OF EGBEMA NATIONS

Exactly 10_years we lost our Legend:
Egbema kingdom morns;

HRM (EZE) SUNNY NKEMDIRIM ANDREW UZOR
NZE-OBI I OF EGBEMA NATION
(1931-2009)

On 9th October 1931, Sunny N. A. Uzor was born at the Ogboru farm settlement of Abacheke in present Ohaji-Egbema, Imo State; to the family of Chief James and Okachanma Awoyibo Uzor.

His father must have been a rich man to be able to afford a primary education for the young Sunny at Lagos Primary School in the heart of Nigeria. He thereafter attended the Technical Institute Yaba, now Yaba Institute of Technology from 1948 to 1953, wherefore he obtained a certificate in that regard. At the Chelsa College of Aeronautics, England, he studied Aircraft Engineering and Management from 1963 to 1965. Sunny became the first Aeronautics Engineer in-charge of Boeing 707, VC-IO, Forker F-2 and DC-3 at the then Ikeja Airport (now Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos). This made him the first indigenous pilot in Nigeria; a canny record for the people of Egbema Kingdom. Earlier in 1962, he had enrolled as a member of the Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers (MSLAE). With dedication to the profession he had chosen, the young Sunny rose to the position of Aviation Superintendent in the British Petroleum (BP) Company Limited Airport at Ikeja, Nigeria. He voluntarily resigned after having attained promotion to the position of Station Engineer in the Nigeria Airways.

As at the time when the sixteen Towns of Egbema were not separated, he was installed as the paramount ruler (Nze-Obi) of the entire Egbema ethnic nationality, then in Rivers State. Later on, when he disagreed with the then Rivers State Government, he ceded fourteen of the Egbema villages to the Imo State Government. Eze Uzor remained the king of that section of Egbema till his demise.

During his life time on earth, Eze Uzor fought for the materialization of the Niger Delta Region course; the struggle to achieve a better life for his people. This yielded fruitful result with the actualization of the Niger Delta Development commission (NDDC). This was partly made possible by the unfaulting agitations of the Association of traditional rulers of the Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON), which the monarch co-founded with other traditional rulers in the oil and gas producing areas of the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. He later held the post of Deputy National Chairman of the association.

Eze Uzor’s astute membership of several organizations was for the advancement of the course of the people of the people of all creeds, especially his kingdom. His Majesty was at a time, the Deputy National Chairman, South-East Zone Congress of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC); Chairman, Royal Circle of Traditional Rulers in Imo and Abia States of Nigeria; Chairman, Organization of African Instituted Churches. His efforts assisted to influence the creation the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC). He was appointed the first Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the ISOPADEC. Eze Uzor was a Director of the Niger Cement Company situate in Nkalagu from 1984 to 1987. Earlier in 1970, he was the Director of Pan African Bank (a Rivers State establishment) up to 1976, and also a member of the then Rivers State Interim Advisory Council for the state’s Transport Corporation.

For the king, who by his position as the custodian of the customary laws, traditions and cultures of the Egbema Kingdom of Imo and Rivers State, he did not find any stress in managing the two ends, or witness any conflicts relating to such management. His devotion to the course of advancing the Christian faith, especially the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, was admirable. Eze Uzor was very keen at exposing and promoting the culture of the Egbema people. The popular Egbema son: “Ojemba” was part of the Egbema songs and other cultural displays which the King promoted solely by his sponsorship in the early 1970s.

Before his demise on 8th August 2009, he was married to Lolo Cecilia (of blessed memory) and Ugoeze J.N. Uzor. His children include: Prince Steve, Ikenna, Onyebuchi, Ugochukwu, Princess Helen, Judy, Mrs. Gloria Elarius, Amarachi and Mrs. Chinyere V. Ezediaro.

EGBEMA WE CONTINUE TO MISS YOU HRM, EZE S.N.A UZOR JP.

ABANDONED OKWUZI_EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL, E.M.M CALLS ON RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT.

ABANDONED OKWUZI_EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL, E.M.M CALLS ON RIVER'S STATE GOVERNMENT

~ Fulfill Your Promise to us, Group begs Gov. Wike ~

The Visionary Youths and Advocacy Group of Egbema kingdom in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local Government Area of Rivers State Known as the Egbema Massive Movement_E.M.M has Cried out, Calling on the Rivers State Government to begin the total Renovation and Re_equipement of the abandoned Okwuzi- Egbema General hospital.

Leader of the Advocacy group, Distinguished Comrade I.E Kelly Rufus has called on the Rivers State Government, stating that Government should not always wait for the people to Remind her of her duties and Obligations to it's Citizenry's before attending to their Fundamental needs.

Health Establishments in our States should be Prioritized by Responsive Government.

The Okwuzi-Egbema general hospital was promised to be used as one of the Projects to Mark the celebration of the first 100_Days in office of our  Governor Nyesom Ezenwo wike on the  February 14th, 2015 during the People's Democratic party (PDP) Valentine's day party held in Mgbede Community of Egbema kingdom, of Rivers State.

Countless times we have been told that the project has been approved for immediate renovations and re facilitation in the second phase of the Rivers State Government list of State hospital's for Upgrade.

Egbema People had least expected this Sluggish approach of the Rivers State Government in the fulfilment of her promises to it's people.

We have endured all through the first Tenure of His Excellency Governor Nyesom Ezenwo wike, ( C.O.N, GSSRS, P.o.S Africa), and has again, began another fresh Journey of a second term, yet; with the Same Expectations.

With all Modesty, The Rivers State Government has not been fair to us, and Responsive to addressing the Egbeman's plights.

If you recall, the Visionary Youths and Advocacy group recently submitted a plea requesting for the Okwuzi-Egbema general hospital to be Named after our Egbema first Medical Doctor, and the first Egbema man to have been appointed as a Special Adviser to the Governor, during the Sir, Dr. Odili's administration (2003_2005) as A Special Adviser on Health Matters, Late Dr. Uzoma Akueje Nwachukwu (obm) of blessed memories !

Health is wealth, an accessible Primary Health Care should be the priority of Every well meaning Government.

The Okwuzi_Egbema General hospital must not be a forgotten story, We need our General hospital back !!!

Daily, Our Mothers, fathers, and Children are been confronted with different Health related issues, with No provision for a remedy for Such inevitable Circumstance of nature.

The Benefits of the only General hospital in Egbema if Immediately Renovated and reequipped to function is Enormous and Cannot be over emphasized.

Wondering why Politically The Egbema people have been relegated in her own Local, State and Federal Government, one will Emphatically Submit to Our view that Egbema lost him in such tragic manner constitutes an indelible scar in the history of Egbema. For a Community that is Arguably as of his time, the most educationally backwards distinct ethnic Community in Rivers State to lose a graduate is bad enough; to lose a United States Trained Doctor is a colossal tragedy.

Going forward, the visionary and youths advocacy group E.M.M further submit the following view and Plea to the Egbema Traditional institutions, Political and Opinion leader's, Our Local Government council,  Representative of the ONELGA CONSTITUENCY II. ( EGBEMA, NDONI & USOMINI ) State Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, the Ministry of Health R/S, and the Rivers State Government to help us Immortalize the memories of Our Own Late: Hon. Doc. Uzoma Akueje Nwachukwu (obm).

It is our plea that:

* The Okwuzi-Egbema General Hospital be named after him as : DR UZOMA AKUEJE NWACHUKWU'S MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

* That The Aforementioned Cardre of Authorities should Launch a charity Foundation known as the DR UZOMA AKUEJE NWACHUKWU'S HEALTH FOUNDATION:

* We further hold the view, that annual Memorial Lectures on his behalf will help Usher his memories to a permanent base on our hearts.

Today, Sunday 28th, July, 2019 marks exactly 14_years since the assassination of our Own Social crusader, A replica of his father, our late King Nwachukwu, Very brave Man indeed, filled with reassuring words,  Oh! Death, where is thee stint ?

As Young Youths, we barely knew much about Late Dr. Uzoma Akueje Nwachukwu, but on daily basis, on every Slightest Conversation Geared towards the Libration of Egbema kingdom from her Political, and Economical oppressors, His Name keeps resounding, like a bell on our ears, Even after 14_years of his untimely death.

Oh! what manner of a man are you Dr. Uzoma Akueje Nwachukwu?

Your Individualistic antecedents speaks volume about you till date.

If the likes of, Late ken Saro wiwa,  Isaac adaka boro, Dr. Obi wali, Prof. Claude Ake can be immortalized, why can't our own Egbema illustrious son Late. Hon. Dr. Uzoma Akueje Nwachukwu (obm)  be Immortalized and Celebrated by her Own, Local and state Government?

How else can we Reciprocate the Gestures of our own illustrious son, our lost hope to humanity if not, but to help Sustain his memories ?

Oh! Egbema, For how long can we continue to lose men of good will ?

We will continue to miss our Patriot;

Dear Doc, You have fought a good fight of faith, Your untimely death was your own greatest sacrifice to your Father land and Rivers State Government which you came to Serve.
History will always be fair to you Sir !!!

May your Soul continue to rest in the blossom of the Lord, Amen !!!

A successful Egbema is our Pride !!!

Egbema and the way out !!!

EGBEMA AND THE WAY OUT

~ Comrade I.E. Kelly Rufus ~

Leadership is all about Service, Selflessness, self discovery and Self Esteem.

If you are a true leader, you are Not yet Successful until your successor succeds. Leadership is a relay marathon race, it is Transgenerational, You are not a leader until you have grown people.

Egbema is a Blessed kingdom with much untapped resources begging for Exploitation by her True owners.

In as much as i desire Development for my  kingdom, it should be on the note, that development is not all about building of skyscrapers all over the villages of our Kingdom.
But To sustain Development in Egbema, We must practically look at the human indices then, be able to answer the Rethorical  Question posed to us by our Literary Legend, Prof. Chinue Achebe on quote  "Where  are the little Sucker's that will Grow when  the old Banana Dies " ? How about we ponder on this question?

In Egbema, we need to prepare mind's particularly the younger generation  ahead of the task before us. And Our leaders must begin to Admit Their ills and start working towards Amiloirating them.

So Going forward, I personally hold the view that:

* Egbema kingdom cannot continue to be Economic and political diapers for the rest of her life and thus; we must liberate ourselves from the long over due Non mutual romance of our economic and political Relationship with all stratas of Leadership and or Governance.

* We must Practically forgo the Pull him down ( PhD syndrome) common amongst us.

* We Must begin to Prepare our mind's to the understanding that until we Build for ourselves A central Voice, Project and support An individual to speak for and on our behalf as our Accepted Leader, then We will continue to shot and miss our Target.

* Egbema leadership should immediately Provide us with a Rallying point, We need a Platform where all asundry Can come together to discuss, deliberate and Reach a finalization on what would be known as the Egbema's Position on Any Subject matter as it affects us.

* Until our Leaders disassociate themselves from Total involvement in the activities of the Youth bodies in Egbema, Then we will continue to fail !

* Until our Traditional ruler's stop Visiting frequently the Premises of the Italian oil gaint Nigeria agip oil company (NAOC) Alias AGIP for What so ever reason, and Begin to appreciate the scaracy of their stool as a Royal stool and begin to Summon the Management of Agip and it's subsidiaries to their Palace's for Negotiations as it is done in Egi kingdom then, We will continue Losse more and more of our Entitlement from the multinationals operating on our Land's.

* Political And Individual Ambition was what shattered us, We must begin denounce every sense political and Individual greed in us that is, if we genuinely Seek through liberation and Restoration of our lost Glory.

* Until Scholarship, skills acquisition, Employment Chances due us as a people be Shared on the basis of Merit and not by favouritism and Man no_ man, then our Generation, Will continue  lag behind.

* Egbema traditional, Political and opinion Leader's must show commitment and readiness in their leadership by harmonizing themselves first as Fathers who admist Personal differencies can still come together to sail the boat of our Collective interest.

* Our Wealth, Rich and Bigwigs should begin to invest in her land, If we do not Development our place, no Investor will ever Do that for us.

* The high profile dignitaries in Egbema should lobby and provide for us a Bank. Egbema is too big enough not to have a bank.

* Egbema Skill and technical center, Ict center, Divisional police Headquarters building, General Hospital, Egbema filling station, Egbema water projects and more others Should be completed, it's benefits should we have then are enormous and cannot be overemphasized.

While our Neighbors continue with their usual Lobbying for Political relevance, Let's begin to build our own monument.

Egbema we are not the children of a lesser God!!!

Yes, I have been lambasted, name called for my unwavering and unflinching Commitment towards the media Advocacy for the libration of our land.
I and my team will not stop until our overlooked Advocacies becomes a reality, until then The powers of our Pen and sincere tears will never cease to flow.

May I Share conclusively the Words of Madam Theresa May, on qoute " Stop complaining when you notice that your environment is looking dirty, Just pick up a broom, sweep off your Frontage, let your neighbor do the same and if it continues, You will only discover that the environment is clean again"

To this end, the Battle for the Restoration of Egbema must begin now and with each of us, it is a journey that will cut across all families before we can achieve the Egbema of our dream.

Thank you, and God bless you!!!

A successful egbema is my pride !!!

Governor Wike's Reelection, A boost to Egbema political history

Gov. Wike's Re-election, A Boost to Egbema political history

- Egbema kingdom deserves A lucrative position in Gov. Wike's 2nd Term - Egbema Massive Movement

The visionary youth forum in Egbema kingdom under the aegis of EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT_E.M.M, has congratulated the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Chief (Barrister) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike (C.O.N, GSSRS, P.O.S Africa) on his well deserving victory at the just concluded Gubernatorial Election in the State.

Leader of the Group, Comrade Iweka Ernest Kelly, while addressing a journalist, Obed Douglas, in Port Harcourt said: I knew Governor Wike was Going to Win his Re-election", explaining  that his Victory at the polls was not surprising to him.

He said: "While The Governor was busy campaigning  with his party, we in Egbema kingdom were also busy Praying for his Victory, not because he is perfect, but because he appears to be the 'Messiah Governor' the people of Egbema kingdom in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area council have been praying for years,  to address our intimidating plights which Previous Administrations never attended to.

Comrade Kelly Commended  The State Governor, Mr. Quality Project, for the Recognition and Elevation of the Egbema ( NZE- OBI Stool ) from a 2nd class _to 1st class in the State, as well as the recognition and Classification of the EZE-ALI STOOLS of Mgbede, Okwuzi & Aggah to a (3rd)  in the State respectively.

The youth leader further commended The People's Democratic party  (PDP) State Chairman, and Leader of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of Rivers State, Hon. Chief  (Bro). Felix Ameachi Obuah, a.k.a GO-ROUND ~ MBA ANA  BARA AGU I OF ORASHI REGION~ For making the Move a huge success, while Requesting through him a more Encompassing Leadership Representation in ONELGA.

The youth activist also pleaded with the Rivers State Governor to Consider the People of Egbema a chance in the Representation of the state at all levels, regretting that his people had never enjoyed lucrative positions in the State.

He stated that the best they have gotten was a Special Advisery Position to the Governor. He maintained that Egbema kingdom will forever remain grateful to his (Wike's) administration if Given a lucrative position in his 2nd Term.

Getting any of these positions from the state Government will be a boost to the political story of the Egbema people.

1. CHIEF OF STAFF
2. SECRETARY TO THE STATE GOVERNMENT
3.  A COMMISSIONER
4. PERMEANT SECRETARIES
5. MINISTERIAL POSITION.

He also Reminded the State Governor about the Abandoned state of the Okwuzi_Egbema General Hospital which was a major promise made to the Egbema people on the  February 14th, 2015 at the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Valentine's Day party in MGBEDE, the Egbema internal Road's and amongst others.

The Egbema Massive Movement_E.M.M applauded Governor Wike's Commitment and determination to Completing the Federal Government abandoned OMOKU- EGBEMA dual carriageway Project flagged of December 2017.

Indeed there is no doubt that the Governor is working. But the people of OGBA/EGBEMA/NDONI local government area of Rivers State will be happier and forever grateful if the said Project is completed and commissioned.

The EMM leader therefore, called on the state Government to Direct the Contractor in charge of the project, DARYCET INTERNATIONAL LIMITED to speed up work as the abandoned project remains a death trap to road users in the area.

According to EMM leader, "If nothing is done now  before the raining season Commences, more Lives and Vehicles maybe lost to bad road network in the OMOKU_EGBEMA axis.

The Egbema Massive Movement_E.M.M and the Entire people of Egbema kingdom will not hasitate to give our Unflinching support, and prayers to The Rivers State Government, this he assured.

Thank you, Your Excellency, our Project Governor for all you do and Represent. The Egbema people assure you of her cooperation in the development of the state while we anticipate from you a Working visit to Egbema kingdom the land of the Black Gold.

Long live Rivers State !
Long live Our Governor !
Long live ONELGA !
Long live Egbema kingdom !
