POOR ELECTRICITY POWER SUPPLY IN EGBEMA; E.M.M SLAM'S EGBEMA LEADERS

POOR ELECTRICITY POWER SUPPLY IN EGBEMA; E.M.M SLAM'S EGBEMA LEADERS.

As Egbema communities Celebrates IGWA _JI ( NEW YAM FESTIVAL) in total Blackout:

The visionary and  advocacy forum in Egbema kingdom of Rivers State " EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT_E.M.M  have Called on all stratas of leadership in Egbema kingdom not to add more pains to what it's people already feels in their hearts and Immediately make moves to Restore the lost Egbema steady POWER SUPPLY.

Addressing a Media Correspondent on Tuesday 27th August,2019 in Okwuzi_Egbema, Leader of the advocacy group Distinguished Comrade I.E. Kelly RUFUS slammed the leaderships of the Renowned youth Bodies in Egbema kingdom  The "EGBEMA YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS (E.Y.A)" MGBEDE COMMUNITY YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS;  OKWUZI COMMUNITY YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS;  AGGAH COMMUNITY YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS; EBOCHA_ OHUU YOUTHS ASSOCIATIONS and the Egbema Community Development Committees ( CDC's ).

regretting why a kingdom As Oil_riched as Egbema will be subjugated to this humiliating fate.

Furthering, He Blamed the Egbema Traditional Ruler's and chiefs, the Opinion and Political leader's of Egbema for her Unconcerned Attitudes Shown in a recent; regretting why despite the Unending meetings upon meetings usually between the Egbema Representatives and the Nigeria Agip Oil Company Limited (N.A.O.C) nothing Positive had been said to be achieved as to regain our steady power supply.

He wondered why the Egbema power source have not been disconnected long ago from the Faulty Gas_Turbine and Reconnected to it's Original source as was the case and agreed between Agip and Egbema communities during the 2012 flooding which ravaged Egbema ?

Why the 2012 flooding was not perculiar to Egbema alone, Obirikom community was also linked to the Same Gas turbine same period but today Obirikom power source have been disconnected from the Gas turbine back to the main Agip power source while we in Egbema keep attending meetings upon meetings to no avail.

Who did this to us?
How did we get here ?

Oh !!! Egbema my father land what is happening to us ?

Egbema Communities now celebrates her Culture and Tradition (IGWA_JI) in total Blackout and darkness.

Oh! What do we tell our visitors when they come to our houses and request for a cold water or Drinks from our Fridges ?

Fix our light now
Comrade Kelly RUFUS cries.

A successful Egbema is our pride !!!

Signed:

Comrade  Nwadoro December.

Exactly 10_years we lost our First King: HRM, EZE SUNNY N.A UZOR NZE OBI I. OF EGBEMA NATIONS

Exactly 10_years we lost our Legend:
Egbema kingdom morns;

HRM (EZE) SUNNY NKEMDIRIM ANDREW UZOR
NZE-OBI I OF EGBEMA NATION
(1931-2009)

On 9th October 1931, Sunny N. A. Uzor was born at the Ogboru farm settlement of Abacheke in present Ohaji-Egbema, Imo State; to the family of Chief James and Okachanma Awoyibo Uzor.

His father must have been a rich man to be able to afford a primary education for the young Sunny at Lagos Primary School in the heart of Nigeria. He thereafter attended the Technical Institute Yaba, now Yaba Institute of Technology from 1948 to 1953, wherefore he obtained a certificate in that regard. At the Chelsa College of Aeronautics, England, he studied Aircraft Engineering and Management from 1963 to 1965. Sunny became the first Aeronautics Engineer in-charge of Boeing 707, VC-IO, Forker F-2 and DC-3 at the then Ikeja Airport (now Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos). This made him the first indigenous pilot in Nigeria; a canny record for the people of Egbema Kingdom. Earlier in 1962, he had enrolled as a member of the Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers (MSLAE). With dedication to the profession he had chosen, the young Sunny rose to the position of Aviation Superintendent in the British Petroleum (BP) Company Limited Airport at Ikeja, Nigeria. He voluntarily resigned after having attained promotion to the position of Station Engineer in the Nigeria Airways.

As at the time when the sixteen Towns of Egbema were not separated, he was installed as the paramount ruler (Nze-Obi) of the entire Egbema ethnic nationality, then in Rivers State. Later on, when he disagreed with the then Rivers State Government, he ceded fourteen of the Egbema villages to the Imo State Government. Eze Uzor remained the king of that section of Egbema till his demise.

During his life time on earth, Eze Uzor fought for the materialization of the Niger Delta Region course; the struggle to achieve a better life for his people. This yielded fruitful result with the actualization of the Niger Delta Development commission (NDDC). This was partly made possible by the unfaulting agitations of the Association of traditional rulers of the Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON), which the monarch co-founded with other traditional rulers in the oil and gas producing areas of the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. He later held the post of Deputy National Chairman of the association.

Eze Uzor’s astute membership of several organizations was for the advancement of the course of the people of the people of all creeds, especially his kingdom. His Majesty was at a time, the Deputy National Chairman, South-East Zone Congress of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC); Chairman, Royal Circle of Traditional Rulers in Imo and Abia States of Nigeria; Chairman, Organization of African Instituted Churches. His efforts assisted to influence the creation the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC). He was appointed the first Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the ISOPADEC. Eze Uzor was a Director of the Niger Cement Company situate in Nkalagu from 1984 to 1987. Earlier in 1970, he was the Director of Pan African Bank (a Rivers State establishment) up to 1976, and also a member of the then Rivers State Interim Advisory Council for the state’s Transport Corporation.

For the king, who by his position as the custodian of the customary laws, traditions and cultures of the Egbema Kingdom of Imo and Rivers State, he did not find any stress in managing the two ends, or witness any conflicts relating to such management. His devotion to the course of advancing the Christian faith, especially the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, was admirable. Eze Uzor was very keen at exposing and promoting the culture of the Egbema people. The popular Egbema son: “Ojemba” was part of the Egbema songs and other cultural displays which the King promoted solely by his sponsorship in the early 1970s.

Before his demise on 8th August 2009, he was married to Lolo Cecilia (of blessed memory) and Ugoeze J.N. Uzor. His children include: Prince Steve, Ikenna, Onyebuchi, Ugochukwu, Princess Helen, Judy, Mrs. Gloria Elarius, Amarachi and Mrs. Chinyere V. Ezediaro.

EGBEMA WE CONTINUE TO MISS YOU HRM, EZE S.N.A UZOR JP.

ABANDONED OKWUZI_EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL, E.M.M CALLS ON RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT.

ABANDONED OKWUZI_EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL, E.M.M CALLS ON RIVER'S STATE GOVERNMENT

~ Fulfill Your Promise to us, Group begs Gov. Wike ~

The Visionary Youths and Advocacy Group of Egbema kingdom in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local Government Area of Rivers State Known as the Egbema Massive Movement_E.M.M has Cried out, Calling on the Rivers State Government to begin the total Renovation and Re_equipement of the abandoned Okwuzi- Egbema General hospital.

Leader of the Advocacy group, Distinguished Comrade I.E Kelly Rufus has called on the Rivers State Government, stating that Government should not always wait for the people to Remind her of her duties and Obligations to it's Citizenry's before attending to their Fundamental needs.

Health Establishments in our States should be Prioritized by Responsive Government.

The Okwuzi-Egbema general hospital was promised to be used as one of the Projects to Mark the celebration of the first 100_Days in office of our  Governor Nyesom Ezenwo wike on the  February 14th, 2015 during the People's Democratic party (PDP) Valentine's day party held in Mgbede Community of Egbema kingdom, of Rivers State.

Countless times we have been told that the project has been approved for immediate renovations and re facilitation in the second phase of the Rivers State Government list of State hospital's for Upgrade.

Egbema People had least expected this Sluggish approach of the Rivers State Government in the fulfilment of her promises to it's people.

We have endured all through the first Tenure of His Excellency Governor Nyesom Ezenwo wike, ( C.O.N, GSSRS, P.o.S Africa), and has again, began another fresh Journey of a second term, yet; with the Same Expectations.

With all Modesty, The Rivers State Government has not been fair to us, and Responsive to addressing the Egbeman's plights.

If you recall, the Visionary Youths and Advocacy group recently submitted a plea requesting for the Okwuzi-Egbema general hospital to be Named after our Egbema first Medical Doctor, and the first Egbema man to have been appointed as a Special Adviser to the Governor, during the Sir, Dr. Odili's administration (2003_2005) as A Special Adviser on Health Matters, Late Dr. Uzoma Akueje Nwachukwu (obm) of blessed memories !

Health is wealth, an accessible Primary Health Care should be the priority of Every well meaning Government.

The Okwuzi_Egbema General hospital must not be a forgotten story, We need our General hospital back !!!

Daily, Our Mothers, fathers, and Children are been confronted with different Health related issues, with No provision for a remedy for Such inevitable Circumstance of nature.

The Benefits of the only General hospital in Egbema if Immediately Renovated and reequipped to function is Enormous and Cannot be over emphasized.
