Egbema Massive Movement Press Congress on Marginalization and neglect by Onelga & Rivers state Government

AN ADDRESS PRESENTED BY LEADER OF THE
EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT (E.M.M)
ON THE OCCASION OF HER CONGRESS HELD THIS DAY
12TH FRIDAY OCTOBER 2018, AT
TOWN HALL AGGAH-EGBEMA, ONELGA, RIVERS STATE.

It is with a cheerful heart that we welcome everyone here present.

Egbema Massive Movement!!!

We all gathered today to discuss some of the pressing issues bothering us, the good people of Egbema Ethnicity in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.

ONELGA means Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State and not Ogba/Ogba/Ndoni Local Government Area. In ONELGA, we have three different kingdoms with totally different mother tongue, customs and cultural practices.

Egbema Kingdom has a population of over 150,000 people therein. Egbema has over thirty (30) functional Oil Wells as Host Communities of various Oil Companies in Nigeria, as such, an oil producing area. Egbema kingdom until the time of her sudden balkanization by the then Military Government was having over 16 Towns and over 347 Villages therein until her separation during the boundary adjustment into two (2) different States of (Egbema Imo State, having 13 towns and the Egbema Rivers State now left with 3 towns and over 40 villages therein).

Egbema people of Rivers State are peace loving people and law abiding citizens of Nigeria. Egbema people of Rivers State are predominantly fisher-men and farmers with a naturally blessed fertile soil, now taken away by the daily oil exploration carried out by the various oil firms operating in our land.

As a people, we have a very unique culture which most persons believed that our cultural practices like the Abbara (fishing festival), Igwa-Ji (New Yam Celebration), Ibu-Oje, and our much cherished mood of Ira-Tu-Mia is the best definition of an African culture.

Since the creation of Rivers State in 1967 till date, Egbema as an ethic nationality in (ONELGA) cannot boost of any functional nor visible State Government contribution to her land. In the history of Political Involvement and representation, the Egbema man still begs for a place (position). So true, that since the travails of the Egbema Nationality, it has been the political party (P.D.P) not until the advent of the All Progress Congress (APC) in 2014. The year 2014 was the first time the Egbema people in ONELGA practiced two parties system in the history of their creation. The political Egbema man has been a good follower and an active party men and women

Sad indeed, why the government of the day had decided to tactically neglect the people of Egbema from the benefits of State Democracy, which from our findings is an attempt to leave us under-developed and development hungry. In every developing society there are people who positions are assigned to, not for private use but for the efficient and effective transformation of the society they stand to represent.

The Egbema people of Rivers State amidst her resources and huge contribution to the Local Government (ONELGA), Rivers State Government, Federal Government and the International Oil Companies (IOC’) still has the highest number of unemployed youths in the State. High level of dilapidated roads (Internal & Federal road), no functional General Hospital, no presence of social amenities, no State Government establishment and more so.

Most times we begin to ask ourselves the following questions:
Is Egbema Rivers State really recognized by her State Government?
What offence has the Egbema people of Rivers State committed to warrant this great injustice, neglect and abandonment by our own Local and State Government?
Why has the State Government in collaboration with our Local Government decided to continually deny us the opportunity of aspiring, not to talk of contesting for various elective positions due to our Local Government, State constituency and Federal constituency respectively?
Why is the International Oil Companies (IOC’s); Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC) Limited tactically retiring our people? These person whom NAOC retrieves were employed by Agip (NAOC) on host community slot but when retired, no provisions for their replacements.
Why has the Rivers State Government decided to abandon the so much talked about construction of the Omoku-Egbema dual carriageway project fixed for completion by December, 2018?
Why has the Rivers State Government decided to maltreat the good, peace and loving people of Egbema Rivers State?
Our Okwuzi-Egbema General Hospital has been abandon, with buildings dilapidated, no employed staff, and doctors. The Government owned General Hospital in Egbema Kingdom forced to shut down because of no Government maintenance.
The Egbema people of Rivers State under the forum of Egbema Massive Movement wishes to inform the Rivers State Government and her own Local Government ONELGA about the thunderous effects of the 2018 flooding which has taken over the communities of Egbema in Rivers State. Thereby rendering our people homeless, our plants/crops destroyed, killed away our livestock’s and has made life so much difficult for us, yet, no Local Government, State Government, nor any International Oil Companies grants/aides-support in turn of relief to the internally displaced persons.
The internally flood displaced persons in Egbema has been abandoned to their own fate without even provision for housing and clothing’s to the over 10,000 displaced Egbema sons and daughters. We ask again, are we no longer part of the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State?

Yet again, we have been politically robbed. Just recently, the People Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC), the two major political parties with strong roots in Egbema ONELGA of Rivers State held her party primary, with (7) seven of Egbema illustrious sons vowing for the positions of State House of Assembly ONELGA Constituency II, and the AHOADA-WEST/ Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Federal Constituency of Rivers State.

For the various positions, the following Egbema Sons showed interest:

Hon. Chris Okey Ochije Jp (PDP) for Rivers State House of Assembly Onelga Constituency II.

Engr. Kingsley Ugwuorah (APC) for Rivers State House of Assembly Onelga Constituency II.

Mr. Prince Freeborn David (PDP) for Rivers State House of Assembly Onelga Constituency II

Engr. Chief Ekperi Nelson S.I. (PDP) House of Representative for AWELGA & Onelga Federal Constituency Rivers State.

Rev. Godstime Ogbom (APC) House of Representative for AWELGA & Onelga Federal Constituency Rivers State.

Hon. Raymond Nwokocha (APC) House of Representative for AWELGA & Onelga Federal Constituency Rivers State.       S

Mr. Kentus Obiye ACP Rtd. (APC) House of Representative for AWELGA & Onelga Federal Constituency Rivers State.

Rev. (Dr.) Joseph Chukwuekele Omaegbu (PDP) House of Representative for AWELGA & Onelga Federal Constituency Rivers State.

It is disheartening to note that some aspirants used their hard earned money, some 3.8 million, another 1.5 million to purchase nomination form; campaigned, got screened and cleared yet found their names omitted on election day.

These forms were purchased at exorbitant prices. And aspirants mobilized heavily for their campaign, not knowing fully that automatic tickets have been given to other people, without been allowed to participate in the party primary election of their respective parties.

Given this development, the Egbema Massive Movement with the mandate of every Egbema born will not hesitate to dissociate itself from such unfairness, but be neutral and continually speak for the voiceless.

We want to inform both political parties, the People Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State that we are no fools. Our aspirants are all active party members and must not be treated this way like a nobody in election that should have been free and fair.

Considering the current disposition of elective and major appointive positions in ONELGA today, were we have from both political parties (Hon. Bro. Felix Amaechi Obuah Go-Round), State Party Chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) and (Hon. Sir. Prince Peter Odike Jp.), State Party Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

One would immediately believe that in ONELGA, there are two major political parties with all its State Chairman from same ONELGA.
In the Local Government Council, we have a chairman who is from Ndoni, the home town of the former Rivers State Governor (Sir) Dr. Peter Odili, the Secretary to Council from the Ogba Clan of ONELGA, the Chief of Staff to Council from Ogba Clan of Onelga. With Deputy Chairperson of Onelga from Ogba Clan of Onelga, and in the Legislative Assembly of the council, the House Leader coming from the same Ogba Clan of Onelga. Without a provision for an Egbema person in the executive & Leadership Organogram of the Local Government. That is not enough, the (2) two positions for ONELGA CONSTITUENCY I & II in the 8th Rivers State House of Assembly Currently is with the candidates from the PDP & APC of the Ogba Clan of ONELGA.

In the State level, appointive positions were given; 3 Special Advisory slot, 1 Commissioner’s Position, Members of various Institutions Board, Chairman of the Civil Service Commission and among others.

All an Egbema man could gain is a position for special advisory slot on Donor Agency & International Relation Partners which does not in any way befit’s us in a Local Government that got this much from the State Government. An Egbema man deserves the right to enjoy also the benefits of governance.

That is not enough, the position for the Federal House of Representative currently due ONELGA is with the incumbent from Ogba Clan and now the PDP flag bearer for that position, why the All Progressive Congress APC in turn zoned her position for the same House of Representative to the Ndoni Clan of ONELGA, leaving the minority and resources endowed people of Egbema Clan of ONELGA with no elective position. The PDP and APC in Onelga should realize that we are not only good in voting for people, but also deserves to be voted for.

Our position as visionary people of Egbema in Rivers State is simple, we have all unanimously agreed as a people to keep to ourselves our over 30,000 votes and we wish to inform the various political parties that has refused our Egbema Sons a chance to participate in a free and fair election, that we will not be part of a show that it’s king will not be crowned. Enough is enough, we don’t have any interest on who becomes, but all we want is for an Egbema Man to be given a place in her own Local and State Government.

We will remain natural in the next election because the political parties that have built their root in our land do not recognize us and will want to let them know that we are a people who feels pain and knows how to console ourselves when pained.

If this be the position of Nde Egbema let me hear an I!

Thank you and God bless you for coming.

WHY HAS THE EGBEMA MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (M.O.U) WITH NIGERIA AGIP OIL COMPANY LIMITED ( NAOC) NOT BEEN IMPLEMENTED SINCE 1999?

WHY HAS THE EGBEMA MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (M.O.U) WITH NIGERIA AGIP OIL COMPANY LIMITED ( NAOC) NOT BEEN IMPLEMENTED SINCE 1999?

(Egbema Massive Movement demands answers from Egbema Traditional & Opinion leader's)

In as much as we keep Blaming the Italian Oil Giants (NAOC) For not living to it's expected responsibilities by ensuring that Her host Communities Get a Fair treatment from her (NAOC), which should have been a benefit to us  for our sacrifices in giving away our land & fertile soils, natural endowment, streams, rivers, beaches, lakes and pounds, and ever shining atmosphere to the pollution caused as a result of the daily exploration and exploitation of the Egbema Resources by the Nigeria Agip Oil Company Limited (NAOC).

The Egbema massive movement, as conscious youths desirous of the growth and development of our communities ask questions in what bothers the youths and the general public which if clearly answered or explained by those Involved or consigned may relief us of the Ignorance of continual Asking of the same questions daily.

We as a body humbly demand an answer/explaination from our Traditional Rulers (NDE EZE- ALI) and the Egbema Political and Opinion Leader's to why the EGBEMA MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (M.O.U) WITH NIGERIA AGIP OIL COMPANY LIMITED (NAOC) has not been implemented and the possible actions taken over the past 18 years by the entire leadership of EGBEMA to addressing the Intentional plot by our Host Firm (NAOC) to deny us of our entitlements.

"Our entitlements with AGIP mustn't be the annual provisions of (7-8) cow's, and just few bags of rice to each of the resourceful Egbema Communities." while our youths remain unemployed and our parents continue to live in such hazardous environment.

We need our EGBEMA MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (M.O.U) WITH AGIP implemented.

God bless Egbema Leaders.
God bless our Youths.

Signed.

OMAEGBU, OBIYE, NWOKOCHA, EKPERI & OGBOM BATTLES FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE AHOADA-WEST/ONELGA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY RIVERS STATE

AHOADA-WEST/OGBA/EGBEMA/NDONI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY. EGBEMA KINGDOM DEMANDS POSITION.

( Omaegbu, Obiye, Nwokocha, Ekperi and Ogbom Battles for house of Representative).

The Silent nature of a lion does not mean it is dead nor it has lost it's Lionel Powers.

The Good people of EGBEMA Ethnic Nationality in OGBA/EGBEMA/NDONI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF RIVERS STATE has risen with a serious demand to all Political parties with a solid foundation in EGBEMA and most especially, within the AHOADA-WEST/ONELGA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY to Allow her feed their respective political parties with the Candidates for the position of the FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE DUE ( ONELGA & AWELGA 2019).

Considering the sorry state of our people ( EGBEMA KINGDOM) with little or no State and Federal Government presences and with the continual  Non inclusiveness of our son's and daughters of the Oil rich and resourceful people of EGBEMA in the leadership and Governance of the day in her own Federal constituency, It will not be a sin if the Leadership of the various political parties in the State zone her position for the AWELGA & ONELGA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY to the People of EGBEMA in ONELGA as it has been agreed by the two local government in the Federal Constituency for an (8 years) representation each.

*   HON. PRINCE
UCHECHUKWU NNAM-OBI ( Incumbent).

From the list above, it is now clear that none EGBEMA person has ever represented us when the position is due ONELGA  to produce the candidate for the House of Representative.

I was made to understand that ONELGA  meaning OGBA- EGBEMA- NDONI was formed by the amalgamation of the OGBA/EGBEMA and NDONI Three respective kingdom with totally different Mother tongue, cultural practices and Ancestral believes and has a Sharing Formula otherwise known as the 6 - Geopolitical Zones And a two (2) State constituency I &II in the same Local government so said the leadership of the day.

it may still interest the world to know that in terms of huge political benefit this acclaimed Sharing formulas/Geopolitical zones are not followed neither is the two (2) Constituency delineation followed.

All the Representatives from ONELGA at the house of Representatives are from same clan OGBA and same Constituency I (one). in the Same local government.

The demand of the EGBEMA people is timely and should be supported by any political/ opinion leader of ONELGA who truly believes in the continuity of ONELGA.

For the denial of doubt of we been marginalized and the continual projection of one ONELGA, Then the people of EGBEMA kingdom in ONELGA should be allowed to produce the next HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE MEMBER for the AWELGA & ONELGA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY come 2019.
Or are we no longer one ONELGA?
If yes, why can't an EGBEMA man represent us at the green Chambers of the National Assembly?

However, is not enough to Clamour for the position,
I want to let the Entire Federal Constituency know that all the Aspirant's from EGBEMA KINGDOM are super qualified and have been  tested and proven to have been this supported now projected by their people.

The Aspirant's from EGBEMA has taken their intention beyond the Media by taking the bold step to have purchased and all submitted their INTEREST AND NOMINATION FROM from their respective political parties spending  more than ( PDP = N, 1.5 MILLION NAIRA AND APC = N= 3.5 MILLION NAIRA to show their seriousness in the demand for social justice and readiness to represent her people.

Hon. Mrs. Ille perpetual

With just this little analysis of current elective positions due us as a local government you will agree with me that EGBEMA KINGDOM is not in the group Picture of the modern politics of the day.

I totally believe in the continuity of ONELGA but not with the Calculated plot to continually relegate my people to the background in the scheme of things in our own local government.

The truth be told, EGBEMA people deserves the position for house of Representative.
If getting a sound and vibrant candidate is the problem, then EGBEMA KINGDOM has the solution to our cries.

Let's all rally round for a candidate that has the experience of leadership, has the heart of helping and giving, has the vision of his people, a good listener and a Decisive fellow.

This and more qualities of a good leader can be found in all the products of EGBEMA for the position of AWELGA & ONELGA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY.

EGBEMA KINGDOM Demands for social justice.

ONELGA: EGBEMA YOUTHS ALLEGED 'marginalization' ON COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS

Egbema Youths Allege 'Marginalization' On Council Appointments

ONELGA: Egbema Youths Allege 'Marginalization' On Council Appointments

Thousands of youths in Egbema communities of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local government Area have cried out over what they perceived as marginalization of the people of the area by governments at all levels.

The youths, under the aegis of Egbema Massive Movement, during the weekend took to the streets of Egbema on what they called "Egbema Street to Street Awareness" rally to press home their demand.

While fielding questions from newsmen, leader of the group, Comrade Kelly Iweka Ernest alleged it has become necessary to make clear to the public on certain issues that calls for urgent attention as it affects the well being of the people of the area.

The group condemned what they called one sided political appointment by the Executive Chairman of ONELGA, Amb. Victor Ifeanyi Odili, describing it as unfortunate. He called on the Council boss to revert the trend for the sake of justice.

He also called on the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike to fulfill his electioneering promise to Egbema people.

His words: "We condemn the one -sided political appointment made by the ONELGA Council Chairman. ONELGA is made up of three kingdoms, the Ogba, Egbemas and the Ndonis. It's quite unfortunate that the LG Chairman came from Ndoni, his Deputy came from Ogba, the executive angle that should have come to us as Egbema people, the Secretary to the Council was also given to the Ogba people”.

"The Chief of Staff went to the Ogba people, Leader of the Legislative Assembly in the Council was still given to the Ogba people whereas we claimed to be one ONELGA. This is a great injustice. So we call on the attention of the LG Chairman to immediately redirect his attention to redress this because the LGA cannot be complete without the Egbema people ", he said.

Some placards carried by the youths bore the inscriptions: “Egbema people deserves managerial position in Agip”, “Agip tactically retires our people, we need replacement”, “Wike remember our abandoned Okwuzi-Egbema Gen hospital” and “Elevate our traditional stools to first class and second class in the state”.

THE PLIGHT OF THE ONELGNS ( Why we demand the Governors attention)

THE PLIGHT OF THE ONELGANS.

( WHY WE DEMAND THE GOVERNORS ATTENTION)

It is said that nothing good comes easy.

Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local Government Area of River State is unarguably, one of the resources most endowed local government in Rivers state and Nigeria at large.

The Local government ONELGA has over 507 Oil wells and Houses the Explosive installation's of Various multi billion Dollars International Oil  firms in the likes of:
NIGERIA AGIP OIL COMPANY LIMITED and TOTAL & ELF with Subsidiaries over 200 Oil and Construction Firms therein.

The Local Government ONELGA, has Produced Prominent son's that have served  Nigeria as a country and River state as  Politician's and in various capacities.
Most notably we're,

* SIR, (DR) PETER ODILI- Former Governor of Rivers state for (8 years and one time Presidential Aspirant)
* SEN. FRANCIS ELLAH
* SEN. IFEANYI ODILI ( ONWA OF NDONI)
* HON. VICTOR MAZI ( FMR: MINISTER OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC)
* SEN. WILSON ASINOBI AKE -( 8 YEARS HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE, & 8 YEARS AS A SENATOR)
*  SIR CHRIS OBOR ( FMR: NDDC CHAIRMAN,)
* LATE CHIEF G.U. AKE ( POLITICAL ORACLE OF RIVERS STATE)
* PROF. CLAUDE AKE
* DR. J.C IMEGI ( MHR)
* HON. BRO. FELIX AMEACHI OBUAH
( GO ROUND)

and the host of others.

Surprising, The Local government ONELGA, still begs for Development amidst her Overflowing Resources sufficient enough to Transform and develop The entire Region.

Politically, ONELGA has always been Represented in Every Political settings in the State Since the Inception of the Local Government. But Funny, how the region still remain underdeveloped with little or no Government Presence.

The responsibilities of Every Visionary Government is to Provide Security and protect It's Citizens. Providing for the people with  adequate  Social Amenities like:
* GOOD ROAD NETWORK
* PRIMARY HEALTH CARE
* EDUCATION
* INDUSTRIES

Will in turn, Bring about Employment opportunities to the masses and Create an enabling environment for Good Governance.

The Truth is, Our Earliest Political and Opinion leaders has Failed us.

ONELGA as a local government with her Endowed nature should be competing with Port Harcourt Local government the River State Capital in terms of Development and Advancement in all sphere's of life.

Honestly, The Backwardness of ONELGA in terms of development is the Fault of the Earliest and Current Political Bulldozers. (Bigwigs) who only thinks of themselves and their immediate Families.

Politics was supposed to be a tool to unite us and Drive us Closer to the Highest Political Class, but Sadly. Politics has been defined in the negative in ONELGA.
Brothers now turn life time enemies, friends now become Opponent's, our communities now Become a political Tool to Politicians all because of differences in our Political believes.

The following are some of the intimidating plights of the ONELGA people.

* THE ABANDONED OMOKU- EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT
* THE DELAY IN THE COMPLETION OF THE OMOKU ULTRA MODERN ZONAL HOSPITAL. ( this is very unfortunate as all Hospitals flagged off the same time with ours has been commissioned to function)
* THE NON ELEVATION/ CLASSIFICATION OF THE EGBEMA TRADITIONAL STOOLS TO (1st, 2nd & 3rd classes) IN THE STATE.
* THE NON GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE ON THE (EBOCHA OIL CENTER) NIGERIA AGIP OIL COMPANY (2015 EQUIPMENT FAILURE)  EXPLOSION THAT AFFECTED THE PEOPLE OF EGBEMA (16 VILLAGES) this is great injustice as the same cannot happen in OGONI, IKWERE OR OBIOAKPOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT and the River state Government will not act and immediately compile the Multi Billion dollars Oil Firm to pay the Environmental Damage suits against her by the Host Communities. The effects of the Hazardous explosion still lives.

* THE DELAY IN THE FULFILMENT OF THE FOLLOWING PROMISES:
FLAGG OF AND CONSTRUCTION OF: KIRIGANI/ALIUGWU/IDU OBOSI ROAD

* THE 12KM EGBEMA INTERNAL ROADS

* THE DELAY IN THE INVESTMENT OF THE 30 BILLION NAIRA IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE OIL HOST COMMUNITIES OF EGBEMA ( 14th Feb. 2015).

* THE DELAY IN COMPILING THE MULTI NATIONALS IN ONELGA ( NIGERIA AGIP OIL COMPANY LIMITED & TOTAL EL& F TO IMMEDIATELY SUMMIT ALL SUBSIDIARIES FIRMS UNDER HER AND BEGIN THE EMPLOYMENT OF ONELGA YOUTHS AS CHAMPIONED BY THE ONELGA OIL HOST COMMUNITIES AND STAKEHOLDERS FORUM AND AGREED  BY THE RIVER STATE GOVERNMENT.

* APART FROM PROJECTS SITED BY THE OIL COMPANIES AS PART OF OUR MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ( M.O.U)  WITH THEM AS HOST COMMUNITIES, NO OTHER VISIBLE GOVERNMENT PROJECTS CAN BE FOUND IN THE ENTIRE LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

ONELGA political and Opinion Leaders should immediately Change her pattern of politics which have never benefited us anything rather than create more divides amongst us.

I humbly appeal to all the Political Leaders of ONELGA in their individual Political Platforms to Shun the politics of hate, Segregation and Individual Benefits and become more of a classical politician whose only motive of becoming a politician is to Transform the lives of it's people positively.

2019 Election processes has already began and  I will advise our ONELGA youths to become reasonable in her choice of candidate for Elective positions.

Politics is never a DO-NOR-DIE affair.
All The Political Aspirant's in ONELGA should understand this fact.

All we want as gain in politics is DEVELOPMENT AND EMPOWERMENT.
So I totally discourage the use of violence and Killings to win election.
ONELGA has become peaceful and we must sustain the Relative Peace we Enjoy today.

No individual Ambition Should Override The Collective Interest of the Entire ONELGA.

My name is Comr. I.E. KELLY RUFUS,
( LEADER, EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT)

I JUST WANT TO MAKE A COMMON SENSE.

LONG LIVE ONELGA.

EGBEMA NZE-OBI LEADERSHIP TUSSLE, A SETBACK TO THE PEOPLE

EGBEMA NZE-OBI LEADERSHIP TUSSLE,
A SETBACK TO THE PEOPLE.

( Egbema Massive Movement blames Egbema Traditional and Political leaders.)

From the words of a former United States President, John. F. Kennedy which thus Says: "THINK OF WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR AMERICA AND NOT WHAT AMERICA CAN DO FOR YOU " we draw our Motivation to write as visionary youths of Egbema Kingdom in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local Government Area of River state whose utmost desire is to achieve a Peaceful, United and Developing kingdom.

So blame, The Traditional Rulers of the Three major communities in Egbema-Rivers state and her Political/Opinion leaders for the total relegation, neglect and Disenfranchisement of the Egbema people in her own Local, State and Federal Government.

One may want to ask the reason while the Egbema Massive Movement keep furthering on the need for Egbema people to have a rallying point and a generally Recognized NZE-OBI which we believe is the highest Traditional stool of the Egbema people.

The Reasons are as follows:
* With a Recognized NZE-OBI, Egbema will have a rallying point were every Egbema son's and daughters will gather to discuss issues of great importance to the kingdom.

* With a generally Recognized and accepted NZE-OBI, we will be able to get a First (1st)  Class Recognition in the State. And that automatically ushers us to the center.

* with a generally Recognized and accepted NZE-OBI, Egbema people will be able to speak with one voice and have a common front.

* with a generally Recognized and accepted NZE-OBI, We may have the chances to attract a project to our place during the River state Stakeholders meetings.

* with a generally Recognized and accepted NZE-OBI, Egbema will be able produce her representative to the Rivers state council of traditional rulers and will also be able to make her intimidating plight known before the States Council of Traditional rulers meeting.

* since our NZE- OBISHIP is not by Hereditary, it will provide an opportunity to make a once rejected generation Royal. That is by constant Rotation within the various communities in Egbema.

* with a generally Recognized and accepted NZE-OBI, we have succeeded in providing a nonnegotiable source of livelihood for whosoever becomes. This will at least bring about Empowerment to the kingdom through the Gestures of the NZE-OBI to the people be it immediate family or extended.

From all research's and consultations made. We discovered that the Egbema people have been grossly marginalized by themselves.

HOW DID EGBEMA MARGINALIZED AND GROSSLY RELEGATED HERSELF?

* The day we chose to obtain the Highest Academic Degree in the negative. (PhD. PULL HIM DOWN SYNDROME)

* The day we decided to sell ourselves to those whom will complained marginalized us. This we believed was for  personal gain which never lasted the taste of time.

* When we demand for the Elevation of the NZE-OBI stool to a 1st class in the state and yet go behind closed doors to disrupt the process.

* When our Traditional Rulers, Political leaders, and Opinion Leaders has refused to unit themselves and take a discission on who becomes the Egbema NZE-OBI and stand by it.

* When we  allowed political interest or Politics of bitterness and hatred to take over us at the detriment of the entire kingdom.

* When our leaders pay deaf ear's to the long overdue lingered war on who is the Egbema NZE-OBI.

* when the leadership of Egbema allowed the Contest for who becomes NZE-OBI to degenerate to what we see today thereby, making us look like unorganized people (  kingdom) before the Entire Rivers state.

* when the masses in her own part has refused to cry out and have become so comfortable with our present condition.

We in Egbema Massive Movement will not continue to pamper situations which will never earn us anything as a people, But will always demand for fairness, equity, development and social justice for the masses.

I WILL RECONSTRUCT AND BRING TO FUNCTION THE OKWUZI - EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL, GOV. WIKE.

I WILL RECONSTRUCT AND BRING TO FUNCTION THE OKWUZI- EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL - (GOV. WIKE 14TH FEBRUARY, 2015)

(Your Hospital will be used to celebrate my 1st 100 Days in office - Gov. Wike)

The Attention of the visionary youths wig in Egbema kingdom known as the EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT (E.M.M) Has Been drawn to the abandoned and forgotten State of the Only General Hospital in Egbema. The OKWUZI - EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL.

The Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Chief & Barr. Nyesom E. Wike (CON, GSSRS) during his campaign in 2015, on February 14th live in Mgbede - Egbema on the occasion of the celebration of the PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) VALENTINE DAY PARTY at the house of the PDP Chieftain Chief, Sir. Evans Ijeoma (JP). Promised the people of Egbema that if we vote for him, he will within his first 100 days in Office, reconstruct and totally re-equip to function the OKWUZI -EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL and will be used to celebrate his 1st First Year Anniversary Project.

Your Excellency, is been more than (1200 days) and nothing has been done to address the plight of the OKWUZI-EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL.

Like they say, "Health is Wealth."
We wish to remind our State Governor, the Mr. Project now the MR. QUALITY PROJECT of his assuring words to the resourceful people of Egbema kingdom.

It is disheartening to note that the Abandoned OKWUZI - EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL by the previous Administration has not been in use for more than (5) five years now.

The dangers of it is that the death rate in Egbema communities and neighbouring villages who hoped on the services of the forgotten hospital has increased within this said years.

One of the primary responsibilities of every progressive Government is the provisions of adequate health care services.

It is no longer a news that the various communities in Egbema kingdom has been abandoned to die off by her Local, State and Federal Government.

Hardly can one point out any functional State nor Federal Government projects in Egbema kingdom of the State.

As responsible people, we in Egbema kingdom of ONELGA has been seen over the years to be the most peaceful area of ONELGA and in the State.
So, no Government should come to tell us insecurity has been the reason for our under development for we will not accept it.

On daily basis, our sick one's ( Mother's, Father's and little children ) are exposed to sudden  death ranging from lack of a functional and avoidable  Health Care Services which we perceived as a means to drastically reduce our jealous population in the Local Government and State.

We the peaceful and resourceful people of Egbema kingdom call on the Rivers State Governor, Our performing Governor to extend his Developmental Projects to the Egbema Axis of ONELGA for we are growth and development hungry.

Our OKWUZI- EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL is of utmost important to us.
From the pictures displayed, it has now been agreed that the named Hospital does not exist.

The good people of Egbema kingdom humbly request His Excellency to go on his words on the 3rd December, 2016. At the Flagg of of the TOTAL RECONSTRUCTION OF THE  ULTRA MODERN OMOKU ZONAL HOSPITAL. Were His Excellency Immediately ordered his then Commissioner for Health to proceed to EGBEMA and bring the Cost Implications of what it will take to bring to standard the OKWUZI - EGBEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL which we are patiently awaiting for the next move.

The re-opening of our Only General Hospital will create a lot of employment opportunities for the common people of the area as a lot of casual workers will be employed also.

The Advantages of having the OKWUZI GENERAL HOSPITAL back to function cannot be over-emphasized. We continue as visionary youths wig in Egbema kingdom to demand for the reconstruction and total reequipping of our only OKWUZI GENERAL HOSPITAL.

Long live His Excellency,
Long live Rivers state.
Long live ONELGA.
long live EGBEMA KINGDOM.

21.7KM OMOKU - EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT, A MYTH OR REALITY ?

21.7KM OMOKU - EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT; A MYTH OR REALITY ?

(Egbema Massive Movement cries out. Demands Immediate Remobilization to site by Darycet International Limited)

The Leader of the Visionary Youth Wig in Egbema kingdom
COMR. I.E KELLY RUFUS, known as the EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT (E.M.M) all in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas of River State, has again cried out, calling on the Attention of the Rivers State Governor,
His Excellence, Chief & Barr. Nyesom Wike (CON, GSSRS), to what they describe as a substandard and non professional Way's of Road Construction evident on the ongoing Omoku- Egbema dual carriageway project awarded to the DARYCET  INTERNATIONAL LIMITED. By the Rivers State Governor.

Your Excellency, we are aware that you have been given again, a befitting nickname MR QUALITY PROJECT which is because of your devotedness and passion to see River State wear a New garment of Beautification.
Our own Governor, the good People of Egbema kingdom in OGBA/EGBEMA/NDONI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS OF THE STATE is concerned about the sustainability of your Good Names and that is why we are officially writing to direct your attention to the unprofessional and now abandoned Omoku- Egbema Dual Carriageway project by the DARYCET INTERNATIONAL LIMITED as awarded and fully mobilized to completion by River State Government as opines by His Excellency on the 20th December, 2017.

Your Excellency, We in Egbema Massive Movement Commend your leadership strides especially your concern shown and determination to address the plight of our deplorable and forgotten OMOKU- EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY which does not indeed genuflect nor represent a Modern Road.

Indeed, this has shown your readiness and commitment to Leading Rivers State to the promise land. And also proven you to be an all encompassing Governor.

Your Excellency, the Egbema people say in a large voice, THANK YOU for beginning the fulfilment of one out of your numerous promises to us during your Campaign in Mgbede -Egbema  on the February 15th, 2015 to construct the OMOKU- EGBEMA dual carriageway spanning from OMOKU- to EGBEMA with about 21.7km which by His Grace, You had awarded and flagged off  on your visit to ONELGA on the (20th of December 2017).

Your Excellency, on your remarks you affirmed that the State Government has fully mobilized the Contractor in charge and that they had no reason to delay the completion of the project which according to the Managing Director of DARYCET INTERNATIONAL LIMITED Engr. Dennis Eduga is to last for ( 12 months).

We the visionary youths in  EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT wishes to bring to your notice the following Requests on behalf of our voiceless people.

* WE  REQUEST THE COMPLETION OF THE OMOKU- EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT.

* WE CALL ON THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF DARYCET INTERNATIONAL LIMITED TO EXTEND THE DRAIN SECTIONS TO EGBEMA.

* WE CALL ON THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF DARYCET INTERNATIONAL LIMITED  ENGR. DENNIS ODUGA TO IMMEDIATELY REMOBILIZE TO SITE FOR THEIR SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCE FROM SITE READ A LOTS OF MEANING IN OUR MINDS WHICH FOR NOW WE DO NOT WANT TO BELIEVE.

* WE REQUEST THE RIVERS STATE COMMISSIONER FOR WORKS TO REGULARLY VISIT FOR INSPECTION THE OMOKU- EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL PARAMETERS  ARE IN PLACE. (length- 21.7km,
driving width-7.3km
Shoulder-2.7km, Drain-10,000 linear meters
Has 3 span with 45m length).

As visionary youths, we take the words of The Rivers State Governor to become the driving force to the completion of the OMOKU- EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT.  We have decided not to become violent and a reason to for the abandonment of the OMOKU- EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT but as a watchdog and spurring factor to its completion.

It is on that note, that we condemn the Unprofessional and unethical manners of Modern Road Construction by the contractor in charge. DARYCET INTERNATIONAL LIMITED.
The said Road has a drain which is yet to be extended to the Egbema Axis and even the Drain in the OMOKU axis is substandard and cannot serve the test of time.
Every slight Rainfall covers the drains and the Road Surface.

We call on the DARYCET INTERNATIONAL LIMITED to Apply local Content in her discharges and also make adequate provisions for Safety which is Paramount for ever Modern Road Construction particularly on the dredged Egbema Axis which from findings has been abandoned and all company's Vehicles and equipments withdrawn from site.

We call on all Relevant Agencies, the NIGERIA INSTITUTE OF CIVIL ENGINEERS (NICE), River State Ministry and Commissioner for Works,  all ONELGA POLITICAL LEADER'S, ROYAL FATHER'S, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEES, YOUTH BODIES to join on the Demand for the Completion of the OMOKU- EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGEWAY PROJECT.

We are indeed blessed to have a performing Governor who listens to the plea of his people.

We the visionary youths of Egbema wants to reassure the Rivers State Governor of our Unflinching Support and Readiness to assist his  positive thought for the State. We will remain responsible citizens and law abiding in our request for development in our respective regions of the State.

Your excellency Sir, we want to also let you know that Egbema kingdom has the voting strength of ONELGA from our conscious considering, It is now visible to the World that there is nothing like One ONELGA.

EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT condemn in strong terms what she describe as a calculated attempt by our sister kingdoms (Ogba and Ndoni) to relegate and continually Sideline the Good people of Egbema from the Goodies of State Democracy and Scheme of things in her own Local and State Government.

For the interest of Fair Play, and Solidification of Internal Unity and Cooperation in ONELGA, We demand that Egbema be duly Recognized and be Represented in all sections of Leadership in ONELGA council and the State.

We have been known to be peaceful and loving resource suppliers of ONELGA.
Your Excellency Sir,
it is unfair to beat a poor child and at the same time pet him  with biscuits or ice cream for him not to cry out.
Judging from the one-sided Political Appointment's in ONELGA, we make bold to say that our people have been pushed to the wall.

We write as a peaceful and visionary organ of our Egbema kingdom to Express our Dissatisfaction with the current dispositions of elective and appointive positions in our local government.

From Proper Enquiries, what some persons call the ( 6)  Six Geopolitical Zones and thus, the Sharing formulas of ONELGA was never envoke in our Local Government until the advent of the PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) IN 1999. And under the Democratic tenure of SIR. DR. PETER ODILI as the then Governor of the state which we believe he was tricked to supporting that    calculated and one sided arrangement to steal and retain Political and economic powers in the Local Government by some Power hungry Politician's.

However, the Egbema people has risen from the shackles of broad day Robbery and believe that no time is ever late to call for Justice as people with clear understanding of the rule of law.

We keep believing that His Execllency, Been a Fair play Governor and a Governor who believes on Social Justice  and with His Good Position as the Executive Governor of the state, A born  leader from the grassroots settings of communities,  Local and State Government levels, we  use his good position to correct the great Injustice melted on us by our political Godfather's from the other kingdom's.

Even the military regime recognized us as one and that gave birth to the use of our Respective Initials to Coin the Name ONELGA meaning OGBA/EGBEMA/NDONI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA. And not OGBA/OMOKU-EGI-USOMINI-IGBURU/EGBEMA AND NDONI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

the continual referencing to the non mutual (6) six sharing formulas in Onelga is never to the advantages of an EGBEMA man nor NDONI man.
The Egbema kingdom before her sudden balkanization into (EGBEMA IMO AND EGBEMA RIVER STATE) In the 1970's was having Over 17 Major  towns with more than 345 villages therein
Large enough to become A Province or local Government of its own.

We still believe in the Continuity of OGBA-EGBEMA-NDONI local Government area and that is on a condition that a spade be called a spade and Social Justice Prevails.

Thanks and God bless.

Long live River State,
Long live ONELGA
Long live  EGBEMA KINGDOM

RIVERS ELECTION 2019, EGBEMA MUST NOT BE NEUTRAL

RIVERS ELECTION 2019, EGBEMA MUST NOT BE NEUTRAL,

( zone a vital position to Egbema if you Desire Our Supports_Egbema Massive Movement Advices Political Parties With Roots in Onelga)

The Indigenous, Social_Political Group in Egbema, all in  Ogba_Egbema_Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State known as The EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT has called on all political parties in Rivers State particularly Those with A solid Foundation in the Local Government Area to help address the intimidating plight of the Egbema People by Zoning one of the federal or State Constituency seats to the Area.

In an interaction with a news Correspondent in Port Harcourt, ( Obed Douglas) the Group's leader Comrade I.E KELLY RUFUS however frowned at the present political sharing formulas of the various King parties in Onelga.
( PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC PARTY, ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS, LABOURPARTY and others.)
Playing an advisory role, he furthers that Any Political party who Knows the Voting Strength of the Egbema People and her massive voting Arrangement will not hesitate to Zone at least, one of her lucrative positions to the people.

He emphatically stressed on the need for his people to at least  hold an elective position come 2019 owning to the fact that 2015 election has favored mostly politicians from the sister kingdom Ogba producing ( A member of the the Federal House of Representatives for Ahoada west/Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Federal constituency, Two members of the Rivers State House of Assembly  for ONELGA  constituencies I & II. Respectively, with A Commissioner, Chairman  civil service Commission,  Two Special Advisers to the Governor, and lastly Caretaker Committee Chairmen since 2015 till date.

He continued, Now our sister Kingdom the Ndoni's have been given the Local Government Chairmanship position to last for It's three years and that automatically diverged our aspirations for it.

Very soon, electioneering process would begin in earnest and the people are wondering,
What is due to Egbema come 2019?

The group's leader been so confident with his facts, said it would not be a bad thing if politicians from The Egbema wig contest and win for any settled position in her own State.
He however, used the medium to call on Egbema Son's and Daughters whom are into politics to stop playing the gallery and make known, by exercising their legitimate freedom of interest to vow for a position in their respective parties.

He continued by saying, What Egbema needs and beg for is to become part of the political process of her own Local and state  government which I do not believe is a wrong aspirations.

The Group Egbema Massive Movement as we all know, is not just an Indigenous group but a collection of socio_cultural and political ideas been put into practice all for the genuine good of the Egbema People and our dearest Local Government (ONELGA).

Our campaigns is simple and they includes:
Youths Empowerment, Peaceful Environment, Good Governance, Equal Representation, Sustain Developments and Social Justice and this is  primarily,
What anyone with good intent for his people will regularly call and stand for.

Just take for instance if a stakeholders meeting is to be held in the Government house today and the Governor request to meet with all political leaders of Onelga presently with portfolios there you will clearly see the point am making, for virtually every vital position due Onelga is been swiped to a zone which ordinarily should have been equally distributed and have all quarters represented in the political group pictures of the day.

In Egbema Massive Movement we  hate injustice and we will never Romance situations of great magnitude as this,
the group's leader noted.

Engr. Muzan William Ijeoma.

INDIVIDUALS POLITICAL & TRADITIONAL INTEREST DESTROYED EGBEMA_I.E.KELLY RUFUS

INDIVIDUALS POLITICAL & TRADITIONAL INTEREST DESTROYED EGBEMA!!!

( Heaven will not fall if we Unite Again _
Comr. I.E. KELLY RUFUS)

Just like the Maxim " The downfall of a man is not the End of His Life"

So is the present condition of our Naturally Endowed Kingdom not the End of our Existence as a people.

Egbema kingdom in Ogba_Egbema_Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State is an Ethnic nationality with an approximate populations of about 200,000 ( Two Hundred Thousand persons, with over 150,000 inhabitants in the Geographical location Egbema)

An Ethnicity with about 17 Major communities and over 300 sub villages that suffered a major heartbreak as a result of the sudden balkanization of her kit and kin into two different State's in the Federation ( IMO and  RIVERS ). Leaving the Egbema of Rivers State With 3 Positioned Communities with more than 30 sub villages all presently existing.

Fortunately for Egbema, We play host to several Multi_Nationals directly and indirectly maintain a relationship as host communities to many in the likes of: the NIGERIA AGIP OIL COMPANY LIMITED (Agip), SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, ADDAX PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY NIGERIA LIMITED all with more than 5 servicing Companies each.

Shocking but true, Egbema has over 30 functional Oil_wells with none single Principal Landlords owning an Oil Block.

On daily basis, We are made to inhale dangerous substances as a result of the fractional distillation and combustion of Hydrocarbons and topped with the high rate of Gas flaring as orchestrated by this multi nationals. Not to mention the exploitation of the people and many others.

Politically, we are relegated and unaware of the present political calculations and benefits as it bothers our own state.
Surprisingly, The people are relentless and perhaps, maybe comfortable with her intimidating plight.

Since the creation of Rivers State in 1967 till date, Egbema_ Rivers State cannot boost of having either of her Son's nor Daughter occupying the following positions in the State:
GOVERNOR, DEPUTY GOVERNOR, SECRETARY TO THE STATE GOVERNMENT, CHIEF OF STAFF, VICE_CHANCELLOR OF ANY STATE TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS, CHAIRMAN CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION, A COMMISSIONER, HEAD'S OF ANY STATE GOVERNMENT ESTABLISHMENTS,
FIRST CLASS RECOGNITION IN THE STATE FOR OUR TRADITIONAL RULERS and many others.
In the federal,
We cannot boost of producing:
MINISTER, SENATOR, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MEMBER, SERVICE CHIEF'S AND HEAD'S OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ESTABLISHMENTS

Prior to the 2015 Gubernatorial election in the State, for the course of Campaigning, the Governor his Excellency, Barrister Nyesom Wike made lot's of promises to us which includes,

THE RECONSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT AND COMPLETION OF THE ONLY GENERAL HOSPITAL IN EGBEMA (OKWUZI GENERAL HOSPITAL) Within 100 days in office,

HE PROMISED TO GIVE EGBEMA A CHANCE IN ANY TWO APPOINTMENTS DUE ONELGA,

HE PROMISED TO RECONSTRUCT THE DILAPIDATED OMOKU_EGBEMA DUAL CARRIAGE WAY,

HE ALSO PROMISED TO RECONSTRUCT THE DILAPIDATED (NWACHUKWU ROAD IN MGBEDE STONE VILLAGE) the road that leads to the house of Chief, Evans Ijeoma jp. the man whose house was used for the PDP LOVERS DAY CELEBRATION,

HE PROMISED NEVER TO ALLOW THE MULTI NATIONALS DENY US OUR RIGHTS. and many others on the occasion of the People's Democratic Party 2015 February 14th Valentine Days party in Egbema.

However, the Wondrous Question to ask would be:

* Where are the political leaders of Egbema?
* Has the Governor been informed of his campaign promises to us on the February 14th 2015?
* Who is actually championing our course?
* Will heaven fall if the Entire Egbema proceeds to meet with the State Governor and Remind him about his promises to us and also present our intimidating plight for redress?

So bad that Egbema has lost out politically, And Otherwise.
From my observations and research, Individuals political and Traditional interest has destroyed our land.

This time around,
We Say no to
Lies and Propaganda,
Self amassing and looting of our collective wealth by some privileged few,
Insensitive to the plight of the masses,
Petitions against a brother,
For Greed and and hatred has denied us many opportunities.

We can still get it right.
It's never too late.
First we need a rallying point were we can all discuss issues bothering us as a people.

Politics has done us more harm than good in Egbema.
Brother's now turned life time enemies for the reason of their political beliefs.
Our fathers in turn battling for First Class Recognition in the State.
Our once believed Active Group, the Egbema Youths Association has got factions and the focused lost because of Interference from all nooks and cranny

Oh! Our Great Egbema.
Our Sisters communities in the Egbema Imo State has got a safe landing and a jealous involvement in the Traditional, Social_Political structures of her own state and even produced a 1st class Traditional Ruler in Imo State, House of Assembly member and a Speaker of the house for two tenures, Deputy Chief of Staff in Imo State government, Chairman Bureau for land's, and surveyors,    among all, Managing Director of ISOPADAC, Member of the House of Representatives, Inspector General of Police and Chairman Police Service Commission.
This Does not includes minor positions  their son's and daughters occupies in the Ministries and Local Government levels.

Now again, I ask the Following Questions that begs for an answer:

* What is the Source of their Continual Advancement and Repositioning ?
* Can we also get this opportunities in our own Egbema Rivers State?
* What has been our greatest benefits of  been in the Egbema Rivers State ?

The time to Immediately Unite ourselves for the betterment of everyone is now.
We must salvage our Own Egbema of Rivers State for our Kit and kin has far learnt how to do without us.
We must become independent in our pursuits to measure up with our sisters communities.

Egbema must be better!!!!

Think about this!!!

I Remain your humble servant.

EGBEMA NEEDS A RALLYING POINT, CALL FOR A TOWN HALL MEETING NOW

EGBEMA NEEDS A RALLYING POINT,
CALL FOR A TOWN HALL MEETING NOW_EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT CRIES.

Urges Traditional Rulers and Leaders.

A popular maxim says, PREPARATION IS THE MOTHER OF MANIFESTATION.

And another opines:
He who fails to plan, plans to fail.

We complain, and most times blame the current Government in the State for not living up to the EGBEMA Expectations.

However, forgetting that we as a KINGDOM and Ethnicity have no rallying point where the LEADERSHIP and common people of Egbema meet to discuss daring issues that bothers us as a people, desirous of Growth and Development.

When I was a child, I was told we have no recognized Authorities in Egbema and for over 18 years now, the trend Remains the same.

But I have a question, which is:
WHO OR WHAT IS THE HIGHEST AUTHORITY IN EGBEMA?

Like I have always said,  LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE IS NOT JUST THE SOLE DUTIES OF OUR TRADITIONAL RULERS, CHIEFS, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN, YOUTHS PRESIDENT AND OR OUR POLITICIANS ALONE,
BUT THE COMPASS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ALL WHO BREATHES FROM THE SOCIETY.

Egbema have Traditional Rulers and COUNCIL of Traditional Rulers and CHIEF'S, Opinion leaders and Elder statesmen who represents us at various settings and drag down Oil companies projects and Government appointments to our land.

My question again is:
HOW DO WE MEET AND KNOW OUR LEADERS WHEN FOR OVER DECADES NOW, WE HAVE NOT GATHERED IN OUR NUMBERS TO SEE AND LISTEN TO THIS LEADERS WHO DO ALL THIS,  SPEAK A WORD TO US.

How long should we continue to Smile while Suffering?
How long should the  children of MR. A continue to keep grudges and avoid the  gathering of the children of MR. B ?

How long can we continue to push forward individual interest in place of Communal interest and benefits?

Oh! Thou Great and Mighty Egbema, our ALINSO !!!
Who brought Greed, hatred and destruction to our land?

EGBEMA ARISE!!!
OUR LEADERS ARISE,
OUR MOTHERS ARISE,
OUR YOUTHS ARISE !

The time is now,
Political affiliations, Politics of bitterness and Individuals pursuits  has sheltered our land and has turned brothers to live time enemies.

EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT begs, and call on all aggrieved parties and individuals in Egbema to please, forgo the past for it has denied us many opportunities.
Let's all extend a hand in the spirit  of sportsmanship and help our Present Traditional Rulers rebuild and Reposition Egbema for the good.

We need a a rallying point, we need to immediately hold a GENERAL TOWN HALL MEETING where we can all suggest, contribute and collectively channel any reached understanding of the EGBEMA PEOPLE to the consigned parties.

We have a plight that begs to be addressed.

Call for the meeting now EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT URGES TRADITIONAL RULERS AND LEADERS IN EGBEMA.

EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT VISITS: REV. (DR). JOSEPH OMAEGBU

EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT VISITS:
REV. (DR.)  JOSEPH .C. OMAEGBU

I Never Bought GUN_ Omaegbu Denies.

The Leadership of EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT VISITED REV. DR. JOSEPH OMAEGBU MEMBER RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY GOVERNING COUNCIL.

Here is our Chat:
E.M.M_ may we know you sir?
ANSWER_ I am Rev. DR. Joseph  Omaegbu, and I hail from AGGAH COMMUNITY IN EGBEMA, RIVERS STATE.
A graduate of Economics from UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT 1983, A contractor, FORMER EZE_ALI OF AGGAH COMMUNITY BEFORE I GAVE IT OUT FOR PEACE,
I HAVE BEEN A FORMER COUNCILLOR OF EGBEMA IN THE THEN AHOADA LOCAL GOVERNMENT, CURRENTLY THE FOUNDER AND GENERAL OVERSEER OF KOINONIA INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES AGGAH AND OTHER BRANCHES,
I AM A MEMBER OF THE GOVERNING COUNCIL, RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY PORT HARCOURT.

E.M.M_ Sir you were the Pioneer/founder and 1st President of EGBEMA YOUTHS ASSOCIATION, what were your motivations and ACHIEVEMENTS using EGBEMA YOUTHS ASSOCIATION?

ANSWER_ Thank you. I was denied Employment opportunities after I know that I passed my Interview for a job with AGIP_(NAOC).
After the denial, I went home to unite my people for the fight against injustice with Agip, then I was a teacher in AKAKI  SECONDARY SCHOOL/OLD AHOADA WEST 1979 and then we had Strong Traditional Rulers and CHIEF'S in the likes of, LATE HRH: JN NWACHUKWU, I.C. IJEOMA, AMUTADI, CHRISTOPHER IJEOMA AND OTHERS.
we found E.Y.A on JULY 1979. And our first BLOCKADE was same year which yielded the following:
72_ POST PRIMARY SCHOLARSHIPS,
6_ POST SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP
and 1 OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIP given to me to travel out which I refused traveling out and insisted in studying at UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT. The Abroad SCHOLARSHIP I gave to my elder brother because I perceived that it was a prank to push Me far from home and cease our operations as EGBEMA YOUTH ASSOCIATION.
For the SCHOLARSHIP opportunities due AGGAH COMMUNITY, I INSISTED THAT WOMEN SHOULD BE GIVEN PRIORITY
for Employment, 12 persons FROM EGBEMA wrote exams for well operators but AGIP SAID ONLY ME PASSED. I rejected the employment chance and because of my Refusal, 8_9 Persons was Immediately employed by Agip and by 1980 Fortunately for us we all gained admission to the university same year.
The major actors then were VICTOR NWAUGO FROM OKWUZI NOW A PROFESSOR WAS SECRETARY,
ANTHONY ELUME WAS TREASURER,  JOSEPH ANYASO, NWAOKEOJI FROM EKESIBE LINEAGE.
it was through that process that COLLINS IJEOMA, LUKE EJEKWE, VICTOR NWAUGO, JOEL NWOKEOJI, JOSEPH ANYAOKWU and others were employed by AGIP.
Worthy to note, EGBEMA YOUTHS ASSOCIATION WAS INSTRUMENTAL TO THE ELECTRIFICATION OF EGBEMA BY AGIP which we all enjoy today. I serve as a PRESIDENT AND when my tenure elapsed, I ALSO SERVED AS A SECRETARY GENERAL FOR EGBEMA YOUTHS ASSOCIATION.

E.M.M_ SIR, SO MANY PERSONS IN EGBEMA CLAIMS  YOU ARE THE PROBLEM OF EGBEMA. WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON THAT?
ANSWER_ I do not care about what anybody says. I choose to remain a problem to Egbema so long as I Fight injustice and present a way forward.
I NEVER, NEVER BOUGHT GUNS OR EMPOWERED ANYBODY TO KILL.
I have EMPOWERED a lot of youths through Employment,  this people will attest to. I won the councillor's position then to represent Egbema was because of my good relationship with the people. Sincerely, I have no much money then even when I contested against a rich man and even had court cases but yet I won.
I Renamed COMMUNITY SECONDARY SCHOOL AJAKOI TO EGBEMA GRAMMAR SCHOOL OKWUZI.
I am the highest employer of labour here in EGBEMA and this is how I am a bad person because I am good. If it's easy, a least, let this persons saying this out do my record. but for now, AM comfortable because am not competing with anybody (AM A ELORO NRI)

E.M.M_ WHO IS THE NZE_OBI OF EGBEMA AND WHY IS IT NOT A 1ST CLASS STOOL IN THE STATE?

ANSWER_ We have no NZE_OBI and I can say this, I have never signed that Amuda is NZE_OBI OF EGBEMA. I have proposed that we take the matter from court and settle it at home. there are so many contenders for the stool.
AMUDA IS NOT THE NZE_OBI OF EGBEMA.
If they say he is, then let him do his coronation.
Am not against him, but we need to follow the right way.
If we as Egbema people agree that Amuda will be our NZE_OBI so be it, then we support him  but for now things should be done the right way.
I have no interest on who becomes provided we do things the right way.

E.M.M_ You Are a party Chieftain of the PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN ONELGA and RIVERS STATE . ALSO AN OPINION LEADER IN EGBEMA. Are you comfortable with the treatment we Get from the GOVERNOR WIKE_LED (P.D.P) STATE GOVERNMENT?

ANSWER_ YES and NO.
Yes because as an individual who fought for the PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC PARTY, I am having something and that is personal. NO because our upcoming politicians have refused to accept the truth.
Ask me how often do we sit to hold meetings were agenda will be for the good of our Egbema people? We don't meet at all and that has denied us a lot. But I pray We recover.
you see, politics is all about calculations and if you miss, you miss out.
We are not United as to fight for our common good instead, we put Personal interest first. I must say this Your generations and the ones immediate to us are worst.

E.M.M_ having ran for the ONELGA CHAIRMANSHIP POSITION and AHOADA WEST/OGBA_EGBEMA_NDONI FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES 2015, DO YOU STILL HAVE ANY POLITICAL AMBITION?
ANSWER_ It is my prayers that I go higher so that I may show the people what leadership is all about.

E.M.M_ we are in for a campaign for YOUTHS EMPOWERMENT and inclusiveness in LEADERSHIP and GOVERNANCE  Will you support our campaign for people above the ages of (25_35) to stay off councillorship positions in Egbema, also, that EGBEMA YOUTHS PRESIDENT must be for the youths between the ages of (25_45)? And COMMUNITY YOUTHS PRESIDENT (25_40)? As to avail eligible YOUTHS the opportunities to serve and prove herself worthy and competent?
ANSWER_ YES I SUPPORT.

E.M.M_ lastly, If you receive an invitation for a GENERAL EGBEMA TOWN HALL MEETING will you attend?
ANSWER_ I will. But that is if is a meeting that will take us forward I will attend and support.
Thank you.

EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT you are trying, continue to do more REV. DR. JOSEPH OMAEGBU ACKNOWLEDGED.

Councillors, State Assembly and Local Government Chairmanship positions).

I want to appeal to all the Youths of EGBEMA KINGDOM and ONELGA YOUTHS as well, to start awakening their sociopolitical consciousness by becoming Actively involved in the decisions, leadership and Governance of her own Communities and State.

Like they say: Life is all about trials. The major reasons why we have failed leadership in our Nation today is basically the None involvements of Credible and vibrant youths in the Political hemispheres of our local, states and federal Government.

As visionary team, our number one priority will be to see a society were all YOUTHS are given faire treatment and a level playing ground to test her popularity at the electoral fields.

I MUST COMMEND THE RIVERS STATE GOVERNOR, HIS EXCELLENCY, (BARRISTER) NYESOM WIKE, CON, GSSRS. for his show of civility and proven leadership that is all encompassing. The nominations and confirmation of the Appointments of various YOUTHS in Rivers State, especially from the Social Media's To serve under his leadership as MEMBERS, CARETAKER COMMITTEE'S OF THE THEIR VARIOUS LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS Remains commendable.
At least, it is an assurance that the Plights of the ONELGA YOUTHS will be further addressed before or come the next LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS AND 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS IN THE STATE.

I challenge YOUTHS who have all it takes, the leadership charisma from EGBEMA_ONELGA RIVERS STATE to take the step of boldness by identifying with any political party of her choice and obtain her party tickets for election.

When I say YOUTHS, I mean: FOR COUNCILLORS (21_35)
STATE ASSEMBLY (25_45), and LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMANSHIP (21_45)

Any thing above this ages, we will not support such Candidates unless with a verifiable reasons to.

Our fathers please, stop taking away positions meant for us. We have decided to stage a Strong media war against any politician or elders above this ages that may come for the various positions mentioned in EGBEMA_ONELGA PARTICULARLY.
if you are above 45, wait for political appointments like COMMISSIONERS, SPECIAL ADVISERS, MINISTERS, AMBASSADORS APPOINTMENTS and OTHERS.
OR EVEN VIA FOR FEDERAL POSITIONS AND WE YOUR CHILDREN WILL SUPPORT YOU.
for now, the Youths must be allowed to prove themselves.

God bless our YOUTHS.

EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT VISITED SIR. KENTUS OBIYE

EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT VISITED SIR.  Kentus  Obiye  (ACP Rtd).

I DIDN'T SELL CADET CHANCES_Obiye replies.

my  name  is kentus  Obiye from  Umu  Agburuga  clan  in Okwuzi  community  in Ogba -Egbema -Ndoni  local  government  area  of  Rivers state.

I joined  the  Nigerian  Police  as Cadet  Inspector  with  O'level.

Here  is our  conversations:

E. M. M,  what  happened  in Egbema  between  1999-2005?
Answer : it was  an  interesting  gesture I was  involved.  It was  a situation  that  some  of us  thought  the  old  Generation  of  Egbema  leaders  needed  to  rest  and  allow  we then  then  youths  to  take  over  the  leadership  of Egbema. We equally  looked at  the  situation  of things then  as not  favourable to  all  parties. I had  a friend  from  Aggah  community  Dr.  J. C.  Omaegbu  Was an activist and  was on thesame course.  I got  involved  during the  time  of Negotiations with  AGIP,  I personally  went  to  The  late  Eze  Ali  J. N. nwachukwu to tell  him  that  we the  younger  generation  are  not  planning  on taking  away  their  positions  from  them  but also  to join  in the struggle  and  drag down  more  benefits  from  the  company  Agip. we went  to  agip,  and  finalized with  them  and  we  became  incharged  limiting  the  relevance  of the  traditional  rulers  there  the  crisis  began.
To me, it was  on the  implementation  of the  1999 ( MOU)  with  Agip  that  brought  about  the  crisis. During  this  time,  we are  already  having  issues  with  the  Egbema  Youths  Associate  were  a case  of Fractional  leadership  of the  association  was  recorded which involved  two  Gang  group's  and  it  brought  cultism  to  Egbema. The  first  person  killed  as a result  of the  Then  Egbema  Crisis  was  my cousin by name  Tombe  then  I was  already  in the  hospital  after  been  arrested by the  Traditional Rulers.
It was until  2002 that  I decided not to  involve  myself  with  the  Egbema  Tussle.
The  earlier  we go  to  the  graves  of  our  past  leaders  and  apologize  to  their  Graves the  likes  of  HRH : Nwachukwu,  and  Ijeoma  and  apologize,  I don't  think  the  Egbema leadership  tussle  would stop.

E. M. M: sir  what  is  your  take  on the  NZE -OBI-SHIP tussle?
Answer : we had  Omurujia  situated  there  as the  Nze  Obi,  not  until  his  death,  it  was  zoned  to  Okwuzi  and  The Two  Nwachukwu 's had  interest.
Okwuzi  people  instisted  it was  their  time and  presented  Mr.  Charlse  Aliba and  then  one  Mr Iron  Emerged  from  Mgbede  and  then  the  major  problem  continued.
It was  then  I and  some  of my Colleagues  got  involved  and  Raised  money  and went  to  address  the  case  in the  law court.
Unfortunately,  Charles  Aliba  died  as The  NZE  OBI without  been coronated as NZE  OBI  which  gave  Birth  to  Amuda  and  others from  Aggah  contending  for  the  position.
at a time  we called  for  a meeting in the  house  of Mr.  Jason Ossia  in the  meeting  were,  Omaegbu, Delight  oyibo,  Sir  Nwaufa,  Chadwick  Ogor, and  others to deliberate  on the  NZE  OBI  position. I have  a copy of  the  Documents they  all signed that  they  have  settled  for  Amuda  to  become  the  NZE  OBI.
The  truth  is,  our  leaders  should  stop  playing  politics  and  come  to  an  agreement  on who  becomes  the  NZE  OBI.
I have  volunteered  myself  to  support  decision for  an  end  to  the  tussle.

E. M.M sir,  have  you  benefited  from  Egbema  before?
Answer :
With all honesty, after our 1999 (M.O.U) I was given one house in our primary school to renovate.
I also got a Contract to construct Drainage on a 4km Road after much negotiations my colleagues and Agip.
I benefited because I was part of the Struggle.
I also was the contractor that built the MODERN PRIMARY SCHOOL in Okwuzi under the leadership of Rt.Hon. Rotimi Ameachi  as the Governor of Rivers State.

E.M.M: Sir there is a speculation that you sold off Cadet Chances that was due Egbema as the CSO to the Inspector General of Police Our brother Sir Mike Okiro and that you denied Egbema people Access to the IGP?

Answer:
That's not true. Nothing of such never happened. Anyways, people must have their different opinion about one. Go and ask, when my Boss called on the phone that he brought 2 ASP forms for Egbema people I ensured I gave it out. One Mr. Clever from Aggah had one and Ricky from Okwuzi had the other.
We have no other HIGH ranked officer's then from Egbema apart from Princewill Ijeoma and Dr. Mike Chukwuma.
Ask Princewill Ijeoma,
I made sure he got enrolled into the Nigeria police when he was driven out of the screening venue on the claim that he is physically challenged on his foot. I met him on his way out when he complained about it and I immediately took him to the Screening officer's and ensured he was attended to.

It was under my watch that Mike Chukwuma left for a course in China as a  result of my efforts and am sure that was his first time traveling abroad.

As a C.S.P to the I.G.P, I worked to please my Boss and not the public as not to be fired.
I recall I did a 14km road contracts at Ogba under Governor Ameachi, if our Egbema had been United I would have ensured I bring the job home.

E.M.M: What have been your contributions to your community and Egbema?
Answer:
When we were kids, The most viable company then was the OIL MILL. We formed a company that Agip could help establish a Palm estate and equally fund us to maintaining the Oil mill we had then.

During my service as a Police Officer, I ensured I brought 35 forms to our kingdom and asked for people interested to join the Police force which became successful not until one of them my niece opted out along the line and another a girl on her fourth ( 4) month of a 6th month training was discovered to be pregnant and that ends her stay.
But before their training, I understood that some of them if not all had financial challenges and came from poor home's. I didn't have the money then, so I went to my Friend MR. DELIGHT OYIBO to help raise some money then because I knew he had it N 340,000 to help support their feedings and clothing in camp which we shared to all the 35 of them N10,000 each and released again another 10,000 to my cousin Mr. Honey Igwelatu to charter a bus that will convey them to their Screening ground to avoid hearing I COULD NOT MAKE IT BECAUSE OF TRANSPORTATION FARE and which he did.

With out apologise to anybody, our present Generation has failed Egbema. If after 40years of Relevancy we were unable to at least solve one challenge of our people then we are failures including myself.

After our interactions & Interrogations, I commended Mr. OBIYE for his show of civility by availing us the time to have met with him as part of our CONSULTATION for a better Egbema_I.E.Kelly (Leader, EGBEMA MASSIVE MOVEMENT)

Thank you  Kelly and your team Egbema massive movement  and please keep up the good work_MR KENTUS OBIYE noted.
